- Be a readily-available support group for staff members
- Facilitate communication with and within the staff
- Confer with each staff member
- Clarify work responsibilities
- Advertise for, interview and employ/hire non-ordained staff
- Help to set work objectives
- Conduct annual performance reviews on non-ordained staff
- Review new non-ordained staff members within six months and
annually thereafter
- Conduct annual compensation reviews on non-ordained staff
- Review and recommend personnel policy
